    Meet Our Staff

    Dr Lesley Topping

An energetic and active adventurer, tramper and turner of cartwheels Dr Topping is much beloved by many of her patients, having been almost a pioneering female GP in the Waikato before she joined Little London in late 1980s. Lesley, a true traditional generalist, has an interest in women’s health and young families, and is known and appreciated for her listening skills, empathy and intuition. When she takes leave from the practice it is usually for a wilderness adventure or work as ‘ship’s doctor’ on an arctic or sub-antarctic cruise. Lesley was recently recognised as one of 100 influential women in Hamilton s part of the 125 years of Women’s Suffrage in New Zealand.

    Dr Dasna Pallie

Dr Pallie joined the practice in 2017 and as a younger fresher face, is part of our future here at Little London. Also a young mum, Dasna brings energy and an up-to-date skill set to general practice and has a specific interest in minor skin surgery.

    Dr Stephanie Cowie

We are delighted to welcome Dr Cowie to our practice in January 2019. Stephanie comes to us with more than seven years’ GP experience, is committed to providing excellent high quality and comprehensive personal, family and community orientated patient-centred care. She has experience in urgent medical care, as well as management of chronic conditions and rehabilitation.

Farewell letter from Dr Barrie Winn:

I have been a GP to many wonderful whanau & families, looking after three and sometimes four generations. Now I am looking after the children of parents whom I delivered over 20 years ago, back in the days when GPs assisted with most deliveries and were often up at nights and weekends, in addition to the daytime work of General Practice.

It has been a privilege and humbling to be your family doctor for so many years. I thank you for your trust, and loyalty. You have given me many life lessons, experiences and great memories. Good times, difficult and sad times, we have been through a lot together.

‘Little London Medical Clinic’ was started over a 100 years ago by Dr Tim Rogers. Our owners, Hamilton based ‘Activate Foundation Trust’, intend it to still be operating a 100 years from now, providing its ‘boutique’ style of family General Practice.

Dr Lesley Topping will be continuing at the clinic, and over this year many of you have met and welcomed newcomers Dr Dasna Pallie and Dr Rawiri Keenan.

I am delighted to introduce you to Dr Stephanie Cowie, who comes highly recommended and will take over from me in January. Stephanie has worked as a GP in the Waikato for several years, and is very familiar with the Waikato people, culture, and Hamilton medical  services.

I think this practice will benefit hugely from the fresh talent, energy and up-to-date skill sets that our new GPs bring to your health care.

I want to reassure you that ‘Little London Medical Clinic’ will continue to provide you with our ‘boutique’ style of family general practice, in a homely atmosphere.

Thank you for your trust and loyalty over the years. It has been a privilege to be your GP, and I leave you in good, caring and very capable hands.

    Nga mihi nui

    Barrie
